Having a similar issue myself but with mechanical work on the wife's car. I'm going with the smash his face in route by my other half said no. Damn. We are their going to small claims. She had been told it cost about a £100 is you represent yourself. We were told that you are unlikely to get money back but it's a principle now just a bloody expensive one. On a plus side I went round there one Friday night and put a sign up staying his work was crap. Hehe it was there ask weekend on a busy road. Made me feel better.
