I have driven dozens. Economy wise they are very good. My last 2 had no petrol system at all, evrything was set perfect to get the best from lpg. I was planning on turboing the 5 cylinder one but decided diesel was easier way to power.

Both of mine are 2.1 MVs with LPG, no issues at all, bugger all difference in performance in practice (cos the MV is adaptive perhaps) and saving at least 8p per mile on fuel costs, 13000 miles in one and 6700 miles in the other last year, saved well over a grand and had the enjoyment of going places and doing things.
Yes it's a shame that not every station has it, and that those that do don't always have it, or the pump working and the fill time is a pain, but it's like the difference between driving flat out with the idiots in the outside lane or relaxed in the inside lane, you get used to it and find it much more enjoyable, add a little to your planned journey time and get there much less stressed.
I don't have mine optimised for gas so that when I'm on petrol it's spot on, maybe if I moved the timing a dadge I'd get a little better economy on gas, I'm going to try it on one of them and see if it makes any real difference. Main thing with the MV is to ensure no leaks on exhaust system, it can cope with air leaks on the intake system however. Obviously decatted, but no problems passing mot emmissions on either fuel, long may the goalposts stay as they are pre '92.
France last year was fine for lpg, only did about 50 miles on petrol and I didn't have any info in my sat nav so was relying on spotting them as they came around. I stayed off the toll routes mostly, as I wasn't in a thumping hurry and wanted to enjoy travelling through the landscape.

Be good to get the tom tom data if anyone can supply, ta.

the TomTom POI's are on the downloads page, both UK and French, just download them to your PC, and then upload them to your ToMTom into the map folder, which ever version you have.........
