I think you'll find that Germany's a lot harder to reach for viewing a van than Peterborough / Newark / Mansfield are from Hatfield....

If you'd said Newark in your original post I would have happily gone for a look by the way, as our lass drives there work wise about 4 days a week....

You need another reality check here I think. I did a 750 mile round train journey & 2 nights in a hotel, to view mine, before I decided to buy it.

There's an awful lot of people who have taken the time to write encouraging posts on here and to message you directly, myself included. A lot of the info you seem to have overlooked or ignored, Be careful
What a long strange trip it's been

Hi cooper.

I thought this was a public forum and we all helped each other? In your 2wd as good as syncro thread (page 15) i did take the time out to make a post advising you on the valuable knowledge i have acquired while owning a 2wd and that my advice would have been for you to do the same.

I also sent you a great link a few pages later to syncro.org that gave lots of links to plenty of great information. I have also been keeping my eye out while looking around on the internet for you and IMO that van is everything you have asked for and now that not right either.

Also i did say i'm after a LHD otherwise it would be a great base van for me to make my own.

I have been thinking about your needs from your previous posts too and was going to pm you about another idea i had for you but i may as well share it.

T4 syncro. Not as off road capable as a well set up T3 but still capable. RHD, come with rear diff lock, diesel, easier to convert, still lots around, cheap(ish).

Thats what these forums are for i suppose. Putting your thoughts out there and helping each other but sometimes its just not appreciated. :(

Don't worry cooper. I have been married for a few years now so well use to snide comments from short fused women.

I still the ink that this van is worth a look though. 3 owners and vans like tis are usually well looked after. Best to be thorough though and if its no longer what your looking for, its not what your looking for. :D

If you have the money, buy one that has been done! You never get the money back you put in these things. Your in a great position to learn from others mistakes.

The biggest bargains are the most expensive vans! There are £10,000 vans out there that cost double that at least to get them looking and running the way they are today.

Jenny, Without wanting to get into any sort of slanging match on here with you, I think you need to reflect on what I actually did say to you.

Which is no different to anyone else that has asked me about my van via private messages or indeed telephone calls.

I actually told you that I live in Mansfield (Which is in Nottinghamshire)

I then told you, My van, is currently in storage in my friends industrial unit near Newark on Trent, Which for the sake of giving you an idea of travelling time, I described to you as being about 1 hour North of Peterborough, just off the A1.

I did this knowing that Hatfield was on the A1, and even asked if you were near the Galleria centre, which spans the A1?...To which you answered, you were about 5 minutes from there.

If you care to look back at any of my posts regarding the van being for sale (except the initial post) I actually put down my location as Mansfield, Jn 27 M1, and I also list my phone number....Read the "I got an itch" thread by Lloydie71.

I have not tried to hide anything from you Jenny (or anyone else) or given any conflicting information to you.

I seems to me, a case of you getting a few things mixed up in your excitement about buying a syncro.

I'll leave at that, and just put it down to you missunderstanding our conversations

Good luck in your search for the right van.

Cheers
Andy
