Hello again,

Well, apart from the midgets and the beautifull long haired women, there should be some special things up there.
I think the HP scenery is great. Just dont know where to look for it yet.

Well we still have a lot of months to find out if it will be our destination next year. I just dont know yet.
But keep on showing me why and I could get confinced.

For the people who don't drink alcohol Scotland still has a fine drink.
And if you don't drink fizzy drinks there is always Scottish spring water.

The wild camping rules in Scotland are a bit more relaxed

I have had fantastically great and fantastically not great hols in Scotland. Get the weather right and its one of the best places on Earth, or you can have two weeks of unremitting rain. We found it actually hard to find campsites; it's much easier and nicer to wild camp. No problems at all.
Are we going on anything else?

Skye and the Hebrides are a must. In fact just about anywhere up the west coast (north of Glasgow). Here are some photos of a trip we took a couple of years ago - we keep going back to Horgabost because it is just so beautiful there.

I suppose scotland would be a nice quiet place for plenty of secluded sessions

Hello you all,

Thank you so much for all these informations. But, until now, Rumania still has the advantage.

But, there is still no decision made.

Hi Robert Go to scotland for many reasons all which have been mentioned but one other could be distance you can get a boat from holland (Amsterdam
I think???) straight to edinburgh and then onwards it is therefore far nearer to you then rumania plenty of interesting campers to see as many go to scotland and wild camping galore

Hi Robert one other think in our favour is that you will be able to communicate with us no problem if you brokedown. On the other hand it is probably warmer in Romania which ever you end up choosing i hope you have a wonderful time and all goes well.
All the best

Hello you all,

Thanks for all the nice info.
The boat from Amsterdam to the UK is so very expensive, that I rahter drive then go by that ferry.
And when we were in Wales, there were some scottisch people there. Well, maybe the Rumanian people should be better to understand.
No, just kidding, but I like the acsent.
At this moment everything is still open. We just dont know yet. We dont know when, how long and how far. Oru future is a bit uncertain at the moment.
Well, I found some nice places to go in Scotland, but as well in Rumania.
For instance, the Dracula castle, that is a place to visit I think. Or the Falkirk Wheel. Which looks incredeble. All nice places to see. How can we choose.
But do we have to choose? Maybe yes, maybe no. We will see.

But for the distance or the cost, well I think both holidays will be equal expensive.

So we stiil think, talk about it and we still dont know.

You may be interested to know that some of the outer hebrides ferries are heavily subsidised at the moment and the government has agreed to keep this up for the time being. this makes ferries to Harris/Lewis very cheap indeed - it cost us about £30 ish to take our high top between Tarbert & Uig and about £45 for the Ullapool - Stornoway trip. Mull is fantastic and you have the option of either doing the Oban ferry or going via Corran & Lochaline - Fidden Farm on the Ross of Mull is the best campsite i've ever been to, just magical!
