Found the very same when I was modifying DG manidold
for 32/34 weber. Easily overlooked.
1985 Oettinger 3.2 Caravelle RHD syncro twin slider. SA Microbus bumpers, duplex winch system, ARC 7X15 period alloys

nah adrian, thats just 25 years of coolant and water on the inside plus elements on the outside.. this wasn't anyone's fault, my point is that you can have the best engine block build in the world but if you simply unbolt all your bits and slap em directly on to your new engine chances are your still gunna have problems in the near future if you haven't taken care of the rest, probably more so as you've dislodged all the grime, rust and grizzle thats been holding that part together and allowing it to function... perfect example this steel blank... coolant never dropped a bit on original engine even though thorough cleaning revealed this hole...
