Can I retro fit landy bullbars to my syncro?

I think they might be a tad narrow and they usually fit on top of the bumper.

thats the type i`ve got there really solid bars, strong and heavy. could double up as a spare wheel carrier too.

Just a little side addition from yours truly on this awesome thread

Its easy to copy and paste something from Wikipedia to make something look less than ideal but "facts" on there are to general to really be of any relevance. For example, have a look at this van


Basically the fella who owns it swerved on a gravel road to avoid two dears and it rolled the van with him in it This year I plan to drive up to the Arctic Circle and I will 100% no shadow of a doubt be fitting my set of bull bars for the journey because when/if something like a dear is stood in front of my van on a road I plan on driving through the animal and not swerving and rolling my van on its roof with my family inside. They will be removed when I get back to the UK but when I go to North Africa next winter they will be fitted back on the van to take out any wandering goats, dogs or sheep (Andrew Fendik took a dog out in Morocco from the stories I have heard, and Russel finished it off ) . If I ever go back to Croatia or drive through any city in Italy I will also be fitting the bull bars. To assume that bull bars are dangerous is foolish as they are infact safer than not having in many occasions, especially if you use your Syncro.

If the fella on The Samba had a set of bull bars fitted and drove into the deer while safely slowing down then he wouldnt have rolled his van and would be looking at a new windscreen worse case scenario.

I have examined quite closely ( ), the pics of your 'bullbar' and I fail to see how you think your bull bar will save your van if you hit a half ton Moose at 40 mph! You'll be buying more than a windscreen, that is a fact! As an aside, my son did the trip you are embarking on, on his own, in mid winter in a Passat - no bullbars, not even a set of moose lights. He saw only one moose on his entire 6 week trip!
