Some sort of Parkour assault course. Nothing too high, more fluid movement over/under/through obstacles. Good clean fun, beats playstation hands down in my opinion

i am thinking about removing that oil separator.. (blue pipe) and going back to standard.. it does a good job, really works. But it was one of the things i experimented with to get rid of the white smoke.... Is it in the way for what you want to do? As i wasn't going to swap it over to the new engine
Looks like it was meant to be there that intercooler, looks very nice. Almost looks as though it could be a straight run from turbo to inlet of intercooler?

no the blue pipes are no problem i will let you deal with them
yes that was the idea with a straight run, will sort a convoluted one to allow and slight movements. will pm you
yes when its mounted and the closures are done it will look right, we both know how :D
i could have made the outlet at 90' or straight and use a suitable hose but this looks nicer in my opinion ??

Well
floor, do want to retain all these holes (some are for the gas tank i know)
Image
here the top closure panel(removed) has to be removed with a spot bit as you do NOT want to drill right through as this will leave a line of holes under the new skin.
for the inner sill to floor you can drill right through as the sill is scrap, i prefere to use a spot bit as they cut quicker through the spotted steel
Image
and
Image
next
Image
its all been fitted and now drilled out to the respective sizes,so a disc run over the choddies and painted the in sides and then weld thru on the required areas
Image
Image
here i have taped all the holes up as nothing worse than loads of paint running through and then the effort to get rid of it
Image
will give it another coat tomoz, with the weld thru its best if left overnight to dry right out, leaves the welds cleaner i find.
so gonna carry on chopping the sill out, pain of a messy job,but needs must

I think all the holes are needed (for gas tank and buddy seat) bar one. One of the holes I drilled for the buddy seat came out right on the inner sill, too close to get a nut and bolt on. So that one can go, if my memory serves me right I think I left the hole with none of that grey paint on?

The single hole tucked up by the battery box is where the gas pipe comes in

well. first... are these 3 wires specific to each terminal (will label if need to) but thought i would ask first
Image
right thats the cable side of moving stuff over for now :D
busy removing the inner sill
Image
Image
im looking to avoid removing the rear arm and stuff so luckyly the arm mount is good to the outrigger and in itself its solid so can leave it and work around it
Image
this part goes through and is the part that i have cut away on the underside.it goes through to the outside of trailing arm mount and the wing in turn welds to it
Image
this is the other end of it,top middle
Image
wear eye glasses
Image
semi floating mount :D
Image
this area is part of the inner sill and im at the stage where the mini gas axe is going to be used :D
Image
arch end gone as well

As far as i am aware they can connect any old way, its just 3 glow plugs..
That last pic, is that the inner trailing arm mount?! What was hiding that? underseal or filler? And is that really bad news....
E D I T

ah on second look its the outer mount?

underseal mainly , not an issue as i can get to all the inner sill fine, if the mount itself was suspect them i would cut the lot off and start again , so no worries,
i would add that this area is different on the 16" in so far as there are different stiffeners in back here which mean a slight different approach to the job, but i will point these out as we go along it.
good on the wires, as all the rest of the engine is now disconnected. will check your figures ref the hoses and confirm.

Cool, Any 16" differences would be great to document.

Shocking that there can be so much! Seems they do rust as much as bays and splits, just in a much more hidden way.
