3k, potentially yes if its all working well enough (but theres no tax or test). I recon any operation syncro with all its bits and pieces is worth 2k in parts if broken.
but you think someone will pay 5k for it! Thats solid doka money and getting into caravelle and entry level camper money right their, not a basic van that came off a recovery wagon a few months earlier.

Re: Tempted, but I shouldn't
well i left school in 1994 so its taken me nearly 18 year to get this deluded lol
like is says in the description the van will come with a full ticket on it and i have no problem taxing it
and seems all the people telling me its only worth 2k are the people wanting to buy it
and people who are telling me its worth more are people are trying to give me good advice
maybe its not worth 5 grand and 2 weeks ago i nearly sold it for 1500 and would have been happy with that
but thought i would chance my luck there are 45 watchers and 500 and odd views since yesterday
and i have even had a few questions and a guy coming down at weekend to view it
good news tho is if i do get what i want for it ,it will push the price of every1 elses syncro up
which cant be a bad thing

Re: Tempted, but I shouldn't
£5k is not too much money for a good panel van in my opinion but serious buyers will want a lot of recipts and history to pay that money. If its a good one with no recent repair recipts I'll guess at £3.5k to £4.0k respray without previous photos will put some off and may drop the price as a result.

^^^^^^ WHS .....
£5k is tops for an empty panel van and it would want a box load of history and a heap of recent work done. 45 watchers means nothing as most of them are from here and the 500 views since yesterday is mostly us so dont get your hopes up.
Its real value will be seen if you put a no reserve auction up with a start at 0.99p

Re: Tempted, but I shouldn't
Interesting this, <<< sits back with a large drink>>>
I wonder if the seller ever sorted out "the fuel pump issues" he told me about in a message; he bought it aware of this apparently, but has omitted to mention this in the ebay listing.....
A couple of weeks ago I did, indeed, offer £1.2 k- £1.5k to the seller, subject to viewing, driving etc; he told me he "had been told it was worth between £3k & £7k". Like he says though- not from people wanting to buy it.
Best of luck to him in getting a mahoosive profit; hope it makes him feel really good. I have lost interest, my spare cash is going into tidying up the boat and Laura can carry on driving the Land Rover for work.
If it goes for more than £1.5k I'll eat my hat (but I do keep a specially tasty edible hat for just such situations as we are in the approaching the Summer Silly Season
)

Like I said a few posts back, lots of advice coming forward for the seller on farcebook, which he's choosing to listen to rather than the advice on here.

stick it ebay then at £5000 with some decent pictures and a warning about the potential loss of bodily parts and see what happens then
