Nice neat work there. I'd be interested in more pics/info about filling in your windows as I'm thinking of doing something like that to mine. Mine aren't rotten, at least I don't think so, but I just think it would be better without them. I'm worried I might make a complete balls of it though, I've even considered painting rustoleum over the window just to see what it'd look like.

Not much more to say other than i had a panel cut from a panel van and then cut out all the rust from mine then cut the replacement to suit, after jodling the edges to make it a smoother fit.


Will take a load more pics as go along !

been busy i see james i took a crowbar to my my units last week pulled up tne ply floor to find a small hole that need sorting :roll:

Glad i didn't see that on mine, inability to weld being the main obstacle!
like the idea of welding the window up, never understood the reason for it being there, especially on panel van conversions, be good to see the pics of it all welded up :ok

Wouldn't like the bill If I couldn't weld!, out van was a minibus to start with so hence the window!

Finally got some done on the van today been ages, waiting on a dry day!

All holes, from pipes screws table leg support all welded up hopefully get the sill panel done tomorrow!

It was trying to snow!!! But never strong enough that the welding plant was getting wet so I cracked on! Tho went to weld up sill panel and it chucked it down so went onto sanding walls in the house :run

.can u tell me wot grade metal u are using. I got access to a mig welder and all the bits that i need to have a go, i no it aint gonna be easy but willing to have a go.
