many thanks bob and blue trukkie I have some more powerful lighting now and with everyones tips I think I can proceed without a major disaster
no onion it hasn't... did that direct hot air through a duct to the rear of the cabin?
when was that started/finished? and can you fit it ?
has your blower setting got the fourth knob

Well thats the base fitted between the seats, no problems encountered, I drilled a pilot hole first with a 1mm drill, then went under to double check for obstructions
for future reference there are no pipes, linkages, etc directly below and the base fits neatly between two crosmembers
