Dave,
we had a persistant leak of oil out the dipstick. Did all the seals as described, but still continued. Found the breather pipe was kinked, so the engine was pressurising (no - i don't know what that means ) - so while you have you head in the engine bay, look at the big plastic tower (breather), make sure its nice and clean, and that the pipe that connects it to the engine is not kinked!
We bought the required o rings in a set of various sizes form B&Q - also plumbers merchants good as you can take dipstick along and choose one the right size! (we used a little black one for the seal which holds the bit you pull out to check the levels tightly into the tube. John also cleaned and used blue gasket stuff where the tube goes into the engine block.
You will feel dead chuffed with yourself when you start curing problems!
Harrymann - is that wonderful advice wiki'd???

They often do weep... if you don't know exactly when the oil was last changed, start making preparations..
We have seen a bit of Rhyader and the Elan, but not walking, and of course thats not far from both Tom's farm where we held SP2 and Dethenydd Hill where we held SP1, the latter windfarm we could see from the big reservoir North of the Elan, which is almost empty, and from which you can see another large windfarm to the North.
that cycle ride sounds a bit wikid
