Thank you Daniel for caring and sharing.
I am going to have a busy summer down in Rome trying to shape up my T3 before the big trip back to UK.
And I am surely going to need this amazing board of VW JX engine connaisseurs and their advise.
Injection Pump seems intimidating, but I found so much literature around the web I might try to refurbish it myself!

Cannot wait to post some pics of the project.
