Replacement gearbox for DReg T25

Post by KatGecksie »

Hi. We've got a D Reg T25 which needs a replacement gearbox. Current one gets stuck in fourth gear. Our local car garage has phoned around and couldn't find anything. The van is in good condition otherwise, and we're keen to save it if we can. We're not techy. Can anyone recommend a specialist garage or mechanic in the Surrey/Sussex/South London area that might be able to help us find one, check it's ok and install it? Many thanks

Aidan on here is the gearbox specialist but hes usually very busy, as youd expect. If you get stuck have a word with Malc here. Rebuilds gearboxes, happy with the 3h he supplied me with He also comes out and fits it if necessary, about £300ish.

UPDATE! Our lovely van has a brand new (reconditioned!) gearbox and is working brilliantly. Thanks so much to Malc (http://www.bugshak.com/) who drove down to Surrey from the Midlands and swapped it over for us. Roll on the spring for some trips! Thanks so much for the recommendation!
