Just got my bus back t25 2.0 air cooled twin solex been off road for about ten years its a long story .It's been started on regular basis through out this time but never driven .Since having it back change d the oil and filter plugs and leads dissy cap and rotor arm fuel filter new battery the usually stuff starts up first time ticks over sound no unusual noises took it for a spin Sunday was running well after about five minutes of driving glanced in mirror and a lot of blue smoke pulled over left it running smoke went returned home and smoke again definitely oil burning once home left it running no smoke .Pulled the plugs next day done compression test number one cylinder 105 psi no 2 110 3 125 no 4 135 starts up and ticks over lovely no smoke even when reved anybody any ideas why it smoked when driven does it just need a good run

I'd start by checking the crankcase back pressure. Under load this would build up, possibly spitting oil droplets up into the filter box. It'll be obvious if you lift the filter box lid off. Also, if the breather pipe is blocked it could build up enough pressure to force oil past the rings. This again will show only under load. Your compression figures are rather low, but some gentle trips will probably improve those

Just a reminder, check your fuel pipes for cracking ASAP.
