Mine is Red, but looks like BW also sell Blue versions that are different to the Blue Temp2 sensors.
Could be you have one of those.

Yes, there's a round plug version which was originally blue, then later green. You can also use a black one which was for diesel auxiliary water pump but works the same.

I'd assumed that it was the rectangular plug version, as they nearly always are. That solves the mystery. If your plug is missing you may as well fit the new plug and red switch.
