Re: Open barrel crimp tool help

By way of an update to this, there are various crimp tools with references to 10.0mm2 open barrel crimp capability.
I have yet to find one capable of such with 9.53mm2 Faston type terminals. They may be capable of 9.53mm terminals for 6.0mm2 cable.

12voltplanet.co.uk notes on their 9.5mm maxi fuse terminals for 8-10mm2 cable:
"Tools to crimp this size terminal are expensive and not readily available so we recommend using suitable pliers to fold the tabs over the conductor and insulation."

I ended up using an IWISS IWS-5100A to crimp my terminal to 10mm2 cable, it is designed for battery cable lugs, so does not create the entry flare on the conductor crimp. This flare is designed to stop the crimp cutting the conductor where it enters the crimp.
