The sensor has an o ring and a metal or plastic retainer
The wiring then goes to ECU. Pins 2 & 7 l think. It has a varying resistance as coolant temp adjusts or warms/cools.

Started looking at and cleaning some of the bits today, that I have acquired.

One of the throttle bodies is worn - enough that the switch doesn't always close on what would be idle position.
( Worked that out after adjusting and it only to find it clicked intermittently again. )

The second throttle body I have is so gunky you can hear debris grinding as it operates, but seems no lateral play on spindle. Going to have a go at cleaning that up I think.

Both switches work though. one position 0.1-0.2 ohms, and the other is open circuit. That's at least one plus.

Then I thought I would disassemble and give it all a good clean, only to find pinholes in what I think would be called the inlet manifold for the RHS...

Hoping I can get a good setup out of the two sets I have here :rofl Image

Not sure whether that's a serial number, or date  :rollin

every rubber seal is solid, perished and cracked, so going to need to replace those.

I may have some good injectors for you. Recently cleaned and with new pipes and seals.
Just need to fit new ones. Cant do so for about a week though.

There is a stop screw too. On mine it is wound out way too far. ( A few mm on each of the two throttle bodies I have. )
This sounds like a daft question, but what's it for?

I know that sounds like asking the obvious, but it stops in the closed position anyway. Why would I need the screw?  :?

Found a vid with it it. Screenshot here.

It looks like it would be used to prevent throttle valve from fully closing, but both of my throttle bodies I have had this screw wound so far out it was never going to touch.

The question I can't work out is that it closes properly ( I think ) anyway, so why the need for the screw to be wound in close?

Right. I think I know now.
It isn’t used to stop the throttle valve closing - it’s used to set the point where the idle switch activates I think.

Watching the vid to set it up, you wind it until you can only put a sheet of paper in the gap.
Then it looks like specific feeler gauge is used in that space to slightly open the throttle valve.
At that point you set the idle switch to open at that setting - this should give correct operation.

Makes a bit more sense now I’ve watched that
