The current ‘kit’ JK offer is a DGAV carb which although I don’t have much experience can’t say I’ve heard many people rave about.

The older kit with 34Dat uses original pancake & filter box which is far better than the silly little chrome open filter with the DGAV, but as said only two bolts which doesn’t seem a huge deal on petrol but can see why a disadvantage on lpg.

Webers seem quite popular state side, mostly air cooled, but did a lot of reading and contacted a couple of carb gurus out there who both suggested quite a change from stock jets as a good starting point.

I wouldn’t advocate the weber as an upgrade, or even as a replacement, but for anyone with a van with one fitted, rejetting is a relatively simple and cheap thing to try before going to the expense of a rebuilt pierburg.
