Forgive me for resurrecting this thread but despite the many threads about batteries that fit or don't fit in the behind seat box I can't find any that answer this particular question.
The ABS LP75 battery - ABS LP75 Leisure Battery | ABS Batteries (advancedbatterysupplies.co.uk) - is specifically advertised as being a deep cycle semi traction battery but it seems to be the only battery of that size on the market that actually makes this claim. It doesn't give a figure for CCA and it claims to be good for 500 charging cycles which again makes it sound like its the real thing and quite good also.
Is it? Has any one had this battery for a while? Does it seem to do the job it claims to do?
On the Alpha batteries page for the Nordstar battery that is the same size they say ' 'Please note: This is not a deep cycle battery for regular wild camping. If you are looking for a deep cycle battery for wild camping and off hookup use then you will need to relocate your leisure battery to accommodate a specialist battery designed for regular use as there are no deep cycle batteries available for under seat fitment unless you can accommodate 190mm height.'
So who do we think is to be trusted here?
