ARB awning - any got one?

Post by Jonnyb416 »

Looking at ordering an ARB awning from CVC. Only thing that’s holding me back is whether it’s not quite as straight forward fitting one where there’s a hightop involved. All the videos show them being fitted to a pop top or tin top. Apparently gutters are narrower due to the high top. Look a great piece of kit though. Cheers, Jon.

I’ve got an ARB awning from CVC, really happy with it and can get loads of accessories. Can’t comment on fitting to high top as mine is tin top. Pretty easy to fit, but needed to ‘fettle’ the brackets a little to ensure they were fitted properly and not hanging off the actual gutter. They mention this in their how to fit video.
what sold it to me was a search on the forum for an ARB awning and there is a picture with it full of water and still standing.

…. that’s my daughters :). I can’t help with the fitting as it’s on a pop top.
Drop CVC a line I’m sure they’ll help.

Is that full of water? It looks very saggy.

Yes, at the last Deva Dubs, it recovered well though without any damage done.

Yeah it’s the hightop fitting in particular that I’m after. Would like to see one done before I bite the bullet. Mate of mine said it should be fine fitting to the hightop but I’m just not sure. Spoke to Jed and he doesn’t have any pics of one fitted to a hightop either.

They do look like a great piece of kit. Clearly sturdy given that picture

Can you post up a photo of your gutters so we can compare?

Fitted a Fiamma on our high top just removed 2 small sections of fibre glass to let the brackets sit correctly. The ARB brackets are a similar fit I believe.

Interesting. Cheers for sending those. Gives me something to go off. I have a Sheldon hightop, different, but that is an option I think.
