Colour for t25 Club Joker Hi Top

Post by Hilda »

ImageI am painting the fibreglass hi top on my van - thinking of using 2k paint but wondering what would be the correct colour to use and is it best done with rollers or with a spray?

My westy is later than yours, the colour is the same red as the rest of the van but it is in the jell coat of the roof, its not painted. So I would paint it the same colour as the van. you may need to use some sort of neutraliser coat first, under the primer, to make the primer stay stuck. Otherwise you could find that it peels of over time.

The paint code should be under the dash on a sticker

I would go with the same colour as the rest of the van, but you may want to go with white again to reduce the risk of overheating in the summer. You'll get a better finish with sprayed... assuming you know how to spray properly.

I want to go with white - think the two tone looks better. Any idea of what would be a good white and what kind of paint to use?

I do like the two-tone effect and wouldn't have the same colour as rest of van for roof. Want it white. Just trying to work out the right paint and the best colour.

I think I might just roller it. Do you kn ow what paint would be best for the roof? Some people have said rust oleum but not sure - and would you know what would be the best white to go for?

Just a thought but are you painting because it’s damaged? I polished the fibreglass Vindic top on my Doka with a neighbours electric polishing mop and some stuff he had for the hull of his fibreglass boat. Only any good if it’s still the white gelcoat?

think the correct colour is l90d pastel white.

Try giving it a good clean and some wax like other people here are saying. Here are my before and after pictures using collinite 925.
