Cab Carpet Set
Does anyone have any recommendations and photos for a supplier of a cab carpet set? I have rubber mats at the moment with bits of carpet stuck on and I would like a nice new set, including covering the wheel arches by the sides of the seats. I can find loads of pictures of vans with carpets in but precious few suppliers on the internet!

If you can afford it go for the moulded tufted carpet set from Newton. They come with underlay as well.

The moulded tufted set looks great but I want a beige or oatmeal colour and they only seem to have black or grey.

My mistake on the colours. Their web page is a little confusing for colour selection, to me anyway!!

They will send you colour swatches FOC if you ask them.

The moulded tufted set is only available in grey, its the cheaper moulded nylon carpets that are available in various colours.

Re: Cab Carpet Set
I have requested a sample of both the nylon and tufted carpet. I am keen on the oatmeal colour though as the grey and black will not match my planned interior. Both seem to be moulded so that will aid fitting whatever I end up with.
Last question. My van has a wooden cover over each of the battery compartments whereas these carpet sets seem to have just a flap of carpet.
I did see a Youtube video of a carpet being fitted and it had a hinged metal cover over the top of the battery compartments which I don't have. I assume I would have to sort something out there to stop the carpet sagging into the battery compartments? Maybe stick a thin piece of plywood inside? I am not keen on a metal battery over just hovering above the terminals!!

I made a simple cover using some left over ply fir both starter and leisure battery, recessed two sections over the terminals for a bit bor clearance then covered with stretch carpet.

Re: Cab Carpet Set
The hinged metal lids are stock factory I'm afraid. Bit questionable really, so they need some decent insulating material between the pos terminal and lid.keynsham1 wrote:I have requested a sample of both the nylon and tufted carpet. Re: Cab Carpet Set
Did this help with the sound deadening at all, I have a basic rubber mat and the wheel arch rubbers fell apart, I have used sound deadening on the arches and the stretch carpet but the camper does seem noisier than I remember from 12 years ago, but perhaps I have become more noise sensitive with age.R0B wrote: ↑14 May 2021, 09:19 I have one of these sets.

TBH. My caravelle has never been noisy upfront. So I can't answer your question. Sorry.

Re: Cab Carpet Set
thank you for your reply, I seem to remember being able to hear the music from the cd player without having it turned up too loud for the dogs hearing comfort when driving on the motorway, but maybe I was just younger then
