Hi all,
I have had a look around for information on these wheels, but so far I have drawn a blank.
I have seen one or two type 2s and T25s fitted with them, but they never seem to have centre badges.
Does anyone know how these looked when new some 40 years ago?
Here are mine, inherited from the late father in law.
Out of respect and a nod in memory of him, I plan to refurbish and refit them.
They have since been cleaned, with most of the matt black paint rubbed off and no badges.
Any suggestions?
I thought that they may have been Rover P6 trims, but I could be wrong.

Re: Stainless Steel Wheel Covers
Hi Robsey,
I would say they were Classic Rover P6 2000 2200 3500 (1963-1976)
There are several posted on the bay of E

Re: Stainless Steel Wheel Covers
I thought as much...
I initially thought that they were 1962 Galaxie Sunliners.
Before I spotted a P6 doing a totally unrelated search.
I have also seen similar transit wheel covers with red and blue badges with white stars.

Re: Stainless Steel Wheel Covers
Hmmm!? interesting I think you definitely have the P6's even the holes for the rover badge matches,
but when you look at the still from ''Auf wiedersehen Pet'' in your original post, then they could well be the Galaxie sunliners....the way the reflection is on the centre boss doesn't look P6 and there is that faint lighter colour running 2-8 O'clock in the black centre that smacks of the Gold lion on the Galaxies.

Re: Stainless Steel Wheel Covers
I hadn't noticed the Auf Widersehen Pet van wheel covers that closely, but I have to agree.
Now then... what should I do about the centre badges?
Plain stainless discs, black & chrome VW emblems or something else.. ???
