Easiest option is to bin all the transformers and replace with GU10 240volt bulb holders, simply swap, only 2 wires. (approx £1.50 each from elecrtical trade counters)
Then fit GU10 LED bulbs I get them from Home Bargains @ £1.49 -£1.99 each. I have done this at my place of work. Reduce fire risk and energy bill in one go. MR16 Halogens use 50W whereas GU10 LED use only 5W.

I would be interested to see if any of the halogen lamps were 35 watt.

For now l have wired in just one halogen spot, instead of two, with new Saxby transformer. And its working fine.
But will likely go GU10 LED in near future.
