Panel protector trim removal and clips
I have just purchased a t3 which has big bumpers and what I believe are called protection trim for side panels.. Or sideskirts to me. I have yet to collect it and wanted to ge a headstart on how to remove theses as I belive a few of the clips are missing and wanted to order replacements
Re: Panel protector trim removal and clips
There is a nut and bolt you undo from under the panel.

Re: Panel protector trim removal and clips
item 5 is a pop rivet, the rivet holds the brackets on that the skirts are attached to, lay on the floor look up into the skirt you should see some 10mm nuts, if you dont it could be an aftermarket kit glued on

Probably a good idea to regularly remove and clean behind the side planks, they can hide all sorts of nasties!

Clive (HarryMann) once called them rust encapsulators.

Re: Panel protector trim removal and clips
Thanks for all the advise soaked bolts in penetrating oil and removed panels... All clips present just the pop rivets crodded into nothing so just need to replace them..

Re: Panel protector trim removal and clips
As I detest pop rivets I've attached my brackets with rivnuts and studs, all stainless.
Why would the glass be anything other than half full?
