Am I losing the plot or has anyone experienced this before.
Fitted 3 of some VW original hubcaps to the wheels no problem.
But on fitting to the driver's side wheel with the Speedo cable attached to that wheel it will not fit at all.
I have tried different hubcaps to they arent the problem.
Is the cap on it too big or am I missing something altogether because it should be as simple as bam with the palm of your hand???

Hello,
You are quite right,
The hubcaps were type specific, no doubt lost over the years.
My answer was to panel beat the VW logo into a dome..
Voila...

Re: Hub cap Fitting
They look like beetle etc hubcaps , t25 ones are thicker lipped to allow for the speedo, front bearing caps etc
Re: Hub cap Fitting
Would spacers and longer bolts get around it?

Cordialement,
The very technical hammer technique worked a charm.
Happy motoring
