jx to dj ?

Post by Lio »

Hello,
I understand this not really an alternative engine swap as it is still t3 engine, but I am thinking of exchanging my td JX engine from 1985 with the 2.1 DJ 112 HP.
Anybody done this and any recommendation ?
Thanks, Lionel

Have you ruled out changing to a 1.8 I4 petrol for some reason ? That route would seem to have many advantages over a WBX if you already have all the I4 bits.

Mk3 Golf Gti 2.0 makes a lot more sense, as you can play VW LEGO with the sump and ancilliaries (facelift Mk3.5 Cabrios were the last to get that engine)
