Adjusting tappets

Hi all looking for a bit of help.
Tried ot adjust tappets today ,
Loosened lock nut , backed off adjust screw
Tightened till touching no rocking.
But thats as tight as it will turn can't get the two full turns .
Any ideas as I don't want to force it damaging screwdriver slot.

Hi Gally

you need to turn the engine to the correct positions for each cylinder or youll do a lot of damage
