Coolant top up

Post by TONYT25T25 »

Looking to buy the same coolant that is currently in my engine, looked at wiki and the recommendation there is a VW G11 blue - green.  The type currently in mine is blue and  I am looking for a top up ATT, but in the near future will probably need to do a complete overhaul of the cooling system so intend to buy a larger amount.  Speaking to a supplier I was told any blue coloured antifreeze would be ok to add to my current system as the type I mentioned is not readily available in 5L Bottles.  The current type is as follows. Any advice welcomed.

Firstly if you are planning on changing the coolant before winter , I wouldn’t bother adding fresh as a top up if you only need a litre , just add plain water , secondly comma supercoldmaster is available pretty much everywhere , it’s a well established trusted brand ( I’ve been using it 25 years in my WBXs )
