DRL Wiring
I've bought some clear lense indicators which have both the original style bulb holder and a separate W5W style holder too. It's been supplied with amber bulbs in both, but I fancy using a bright white LED bulb in the W5W holder to give DRLs.
This would have to switch off when the indicator came on.
So am I right in thinking I could use an 'always on' relay to power the DRLs from an ignition live feed and run the trip supply to it with a feed taken from between the indicator switch and indicator relay? Hopefully that would stop a white/amber/white/amber/white type flash!
Any suggestions for better ways to do it? I've seen the DRL kits on EBay but except for the replacement LED bulb type that replace an indicator bulb they seem to be for stand alone DRLs and not switch between DRL and indicators.

Right then, let's give this a shot...
I've bought:

https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/10X-T10-W5W-19 ... Swh1paQ3-i
And if I get them up and running OK, I might splash on one of these for the full on swanky new-car effect!

Fingers crossed!

Can you let us know how you get on? It’s a bit of bling i fancy doing sometime for absolutely no good reason, except that I always like to drive with my lights on.
Have you ever seen an unhappy fool?

It's quite peaceful, but I keep getting the feeling I'm being watched...

I will do, but the relay hasn't arrived yet - was expected by Thursday! Today's job is to fit a new fuel line to hopefully stop the petrol leak on to the exhaust...

Re: DRL Wiring
So what was the outcome? Few of us have the same indicators , and probably not making the most of them..

Forgot all about this post! Seems it's much easier with switchback LED bulbs as per the video. Now, I did get a set at Christmas....
A bit like these!

Any feedback on these switchbacks? Are they standing the test of time?

Re: DRL Wiring
Running lights/US style side markers inside indicators are actually an MOT fail.
