I liked the bit where Phadreus wants to mend the WBX in John's van with an old beer can but John is a purest and only wants genuine VW parts on his WBX

I’ll have to confess I haven’t read it for well over 35 years ...

The clock looks good though, but I’m keeping my analogue clock, just because I’m pleased I got it working!

Aye, it's a long time since I read it too.
The clock is not ideal as the viewing angle from the drivers seat isn't square on to the screen so you lose a bit of contrast, it's a bit gray unless you drop your head down to steering wheel level. Does the job though.

Any scope for angling the fixing on the back?

It said Bus Stop! So I did.
It was right outside the PO's shop so I let her drive her old bus.

Aye, it's not bad. ;-)
I've moved up the coast to Uig on Lewis.
On a campsite tonight but it's really quiet and the beach is awesome so worth the £10 pitch.
No T 25's but i've got a T2 next door.

Looking good - the van, the view and the hound! Hope it’s doing you good, in the short term at least.

I dropped in to see a mate today before i have to get the ferry. He had a panic on to shift an old caravan with no brakes from the Isle of Scalpay to Tarbert, So the old bus came to the rescue. That was fun on single track Scalpay roads that are like rollercoasters. Luckily we didn't meet anything big. She towed well though.
I'm impressed.
I'm in the ferry que now but been told it's running late due to a medivac. Time
for a snooze.

I picked up a new/old stock pulley for £18 delivered. :D
And a new seal for it cos I think that's what's leaking oil.
Anyone know if you can get the pulley off without dropping the engine?

You didn't want to paint it to prevent the water pump pulley from being embarrassed :rollin

Glad you got it done, easy enough in the end, oil leak sorted ?
