Bit school boy, but just realised that I didnt pre-fill my filter when doing the oil change this evening. Do I need to drain it and refill, or will my 2mins of running have sorted it. Fluid level is fine.
Oil pressure light was on for 10secs at first start up and it took a dog walk to figure out why.

Re: Didn't fill oil filter
What's done is done, the filter isn't the concern, it's the bearings being starved of oil.
Did you rev it at all, or just leave it on tickover before the light went out

It'll be fine, stop worrying.
Re: Didn't fill oil filter
Yep - forget about it. The pump shifts a lot of oil, so those few seconds when the light was on is all it took to fill the filter and get the system up to pressure. It may have seemed like a long time, but I doubt it was as long as 10 seconds. Also, your bearings will have had a film of oil on them from before you drained the oil.
Ten seconds is nothing. Seven minutes, on the other hand, would be a concern. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WLOccckJ5o" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
