syncro speedo cable

got to replace the speedo cable as it got broken off at the diff end. Can it be done without taking the bash plate off?

probably as you have to thread it past the radiator into the behind the grill space and it's usually cable tied/clipped to something vertical iirc, start at the top with the grill off and follow the route, it may pull through, and on a rhd it may be easier than on a left hooker

Great, thanks for the info, I intend to tackle it as soon as the weather improves, have MOT next month. Had electric steering fitted recently - that's when it got broken. Well pleased with it though.
