Hi folks.
Just wondering if anyone has fitted a grab handle on the B pillar by the sliding door.
My Mrs has a bit of trouble getting in and out even with the step (being one legged n all) so I thought an extra grab handle would be good.
Any suggestions welcome.
You can just see one on the left of this pic of a caravelle but I can't see how it's attached.

Hi bbb76,
I would think it is relatively easy to fit a front door or A pillar handle there. These handles have a flat base and use a lump of plastic to adapt them to the A pillar curvature. You can get access inside the B pillar thro the vent hole at the bottom to "slip in" a reinforcement to screw the handle to
Its the correct pair of bases you need and they push fit onto the post then you just screw the handle on and it expands the plastic base inserts to hold it tight, no need to worry about getting access from behind. I have a handle and correct pair of bases to fit if you need them.

I have one on my Kombi in a similar location to the pic. I've seen two different styles of handle, one is more robust, with a metal reinforcement. There are at least two different profiles of base, one puts the handle at a slant I think that's the A-pillar one, and one has a rounded profile which I think would work better on the B-pillar.
