after devon
thanks for all the people who came down to devon for the weekend,it was as much a social event as a off roading event, hope you all enjoyed the scenery as well as the lanes, the morning was fairly hard at times and the water crossing lane was the highlight with nearly all cars doing well, the day finished off with a trip to a local event wich was a eye opener for some,we managed 5 laps before we lost the second tyre off the rim, again thanks for all involved see you next year,cj n paul.
bought some real off roaders!!!!!!!

So it was you guys I watched going around in your vans eh. I was there in a mad Max Range Rover. I saw one of you lot (pick up truck) nearly tip it over in a bomb hole and had to get towed out.
You took life in your hands a little bit there didnt you? I witnessed some guy use one of the Disco's that was parked up near the beer tent as a stopping aid. The owner of the Disco was not amused with the two dented doors. The driver of the other vehicle just said - Dont you know what this event is all about as he walked of to the bar. - No arguing with that I guess.

but i think they nearly got clive a couple of times
Mmmm! Very nearly once at least! and I'd had all my nine lives many years ago, in fact I think I counted to ten, but depends how picky you get I suppose... so it was dive in the nettles or die I think.
What was Matt thinking of, pulling an ignition lead off and pretending he was parked up safely Safe? anywhere? in the middle of that bedlam?
We revisited the scene and witnessed the aftermath on Monday... a picture soon to follow might illustrate the true horror some of us felt
Though Doug's piccy elswhere about sums it up - mad dogs and Englishman go...

Engine seemed fine last time we saw it, but think Doug has a vid of the tyres turning into molten rubber... it was last seen being pushed forward by a queue of cars and backwards by a John Deere tractor, IIRC. Think the tractor won! The smoke coming off the tyres was a local health and national environmental disaster... ground clearance seems to be their problem, and mud filled road tyres of course, but the Justies did well.
Its at Riphay, near Exebridge, so if you have the engine, I'll have the inlet manifold thanks Thomas, with those plumbing pipes
There's probably another one or two there, but didn't see any Forresters.
