MOT Failure?

Post by Sailsy »

Hi all,

Van went for a MOT this morning. Failed on the following:

Brake hose has insufficient room to move, resulting in fouling on any part of Nearside front (3.6.B.4a).

The van had all new flexible brake hoses 1.5 years ago. No ones picked up on a problem when its been in for servicing.

Anyone else ever had a similar failure??

Cheers

Andy :(

Turn the wheel full lock and get a picture of it, then post it up.

it may be that the bracket has got bent or it just wasn't fitted well.

Cheers itchyfeet

Will do tomorrow when back from work. Where does the bracket attach? Is it on the caliper?

Pardon my ignorance.

Cheers

late van has ( should have) a small rigid pipe and bracket on the caliper and another bracket on the body where the flexi meets the rigid pipe
