injector refurbishment

Post by kevtherev »

Are there any recommended refurbishers of VW injectors? (2.1 DJ)
I know of one but just wondered if any others have been pleased with a service done

What do you get for your money, mine look like they've been hung off a pier, is the body tidied up or just the guts sorted?

The injectors work ok Rob thanks for the offer, it's just cosmetically they are very rusty.

Re: injector refurbishment - just a point

Post by Mr Bean »

I have had some interesting problems with my 2.1 DJ WBX over the years but touch wood have never had any trouble that has been symptomatic of injector problems. I am well over my inquisitive phase in my old age and now apart from oil & water etc, tend to operate on a don't fix what isn't busted regime.
Have I been lucky with injectors, do they need cleaning by additives or by removal and how difficult is it to have them fixed or repaired if they go wrong. Are they available to buy?
Cheers

United Diesels in Bomere Heath, Shrewsbury do refurbished and Project Power ones for T4s, so they can probably do them.

Resurrection time!

Graham at HGL Sales just processed a few sets for me, I included some spares and a good job too, some were rusted solid despite having a good clean and good coil resistances.

Super fast service and he left the hose tails off and included loose ferrules, so I could fit my own choice of hose i.e. Cohline 2240 FPM/ECO 7.3 x 13.5

Highly recommended.
