And you can replace it with regular fuel hose. This can be awkward to do in limited space but I found the easiest way to get the hose on the steel stubs is to stick the end of the hose in your mouth so the inside is slightly moistened and you can screw the hose down on to the stub. Worked for me anyway and I did mine in a field - saves messing with pliers

Just run your fingers along each tube from the expansion tanks and feel where there they go....
On the side of the van you are looking at, there are only two connections to the tank.
One goes - as per diagram provided above - to a metal pipe on the top of the tank, the other to the breather hose that crosses from one side of the tank to the other. Easy fix, but make sure the hose is in good condition.

You can also soften the rubber by squeezing the section that is going to go on the spigot with pliers several times working around it - makes quite a difference.
