PS the same calculators indicate that a T3 needs circa 135 hp to do 100mph, which would tally with the new car performance data for the SA 2.6 and also my own real-world experience from when this bus had the EJ22 (although it struggled make full power revs in 5th due to a full load misfire)
Don't know the difference between a full bodied van and Doka weight wise and drag but guess not a million miles away. Gti with mild cam with crap exhaust , ABD box and 215/65/16 maxed out at 101mph on my own private bit of the M5. Don't know if this helps your calcs but if it was 120 bhp I would be surprised.

Nice one. If nothing else, it shows I am working with the right sort of numbers. Thats all that matters at this stage.

Why would the glass be anything other than half full?

Re: The Superboxer, a new heart for the Silver Bullet
Birthday bonus!
The chap who sold me the UN1 (who amazingly lives just across town!) called in with the old driveshafts, so I popped the splined centres out and gave him back the rest for his project.
Four cutting discs later and some fun "hard turning" and I have some DIY output shaft centres, ready to have 108mm CV flanges welded on, when I have some 4.5" steel blanks...

Anyone know what an 094 measures over the CV mounting faces of the driveshaft flanges?

Re: The Superboxer, a new heart for the Silver Bullet
So...the machined Renault CV hubs measure 235 over their faces when fitted. So I need to put circa 22mm on each side to get the CVs back into range (although the bus is lowered)
I had a rummage around the shop and found an old 5.25" dia steel pulley, 50mm wide, a leftover pattern from a long-dead job.
After a face up to confirm that it is a suitable steel (it was rusty and tough!) I carved it down to 113mm dia. Should be able to get a pair of 20mm thick recessed flanges out of it ok

Re: The Superboxer, a new heart for the Silver Bullet
He's good. Damn good.
Magic numbers are 277.6 between the CV's, 285 over the retaining lips.
I managed to get a parting blade nicely down the middle of the pulley and the welding went ok...

The root run looked a bit light so I went round them again

All worked out nicely with 143 from centreline to face. Happy days!

I will get those recessed, drilled and tapped tomorrow
