Rear kit: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-CAMPER-T25 ... 2c6077b8f0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That said, the plastic ties work incredibly well. Replace the ball/lever when you have more time.

gearstick and box under pics all look fine, nice condition, original, not lathered in grease, nylon tips look good, a little lube would be good but that's all

Ordered the Rear linkage kit, but also ordered the onion repair kit thingy for the gear stick aswell as its got more flop in it than Hew Heffner's gentleman bits!! Hopefully will be here for the weekend!! Also stocking up on some more cable ties to add to the increasing spares box I am keeping in the van for those extended road side tea breaks. :ok

New gear linkage parts installed and van back to normal with the smoothest gear change I've known. Amazing how much replacing a few little parts can change the feel of something totally. Now I can select 1st and 2nd when I want not when the van wants!!! Thanks guys for all of your help and support. Maybe I can now get some of that love back. Well for now anyway. :D

Renovation and repair of both 4 and 5 speed linkages is covered extensively in the WIKI - in case anyone else is concerned by theirs but daunted as to how to do it. Wear can occur in several areas:
