Hi, anyone know if rear tail light assembly for an 89 syncro doka is the same as 89 van ? I would imagine they should be, but years ago I bought a second hand rear tail light off a syncro ( I think it was anyway) and it wasn't exactly the same. From memory I think I bought just the lense cover, or had the lens cover and bought the back bit. It was a while ago lol.I ended up modifying it to fit, but this time I thought I should make sure.

They are the same, however, VW fitted two makes, Hella and ULO, the lamp 'holder' is different for each. Aftermarket lenses tend to require the hella bulb holder for correct fitment.
I think that's the right way around...I'll disappear and re-check.
