Big lumps of metals and spanners. Including servicing and fluids.

New coil springs and the van is sitting really high!

Post by ronsrecord »

The local garage fitted new back coil springs for the MOT, but now the van is sitting really high at the back! Does it sound like they've fitted the wrong springs? It's a 1988 Carat Club Joker.

I believe carat springs are 30mm shorter than standard.
They might settle.

Yep -that's what it is. They've put normal springs on instead of carat ones. Could this cause any damage, when the front springs are 30mm lower?

Personally I would put a wanted ad on here for two -30 springs and put them on.They are a doddle to change. You can then sell the standard ones.
