Granny alloy wheel nuts?

Hi All,
I,m fitting Granada scorpio alloys to my T3, and need to get suitable wheel nuts for these wheels as the original vw nuts seem to small for the stud hole on the rims, theres a huge gap around the stud to rim I think the ford nuts were sort of sleeved and had a bigger head to cover the stud holes to give a better puchase to the rim? I,ve read so many different comments and posts on this topic I,ve befuddled meself. Has any one found proper sized wheel nuts to fit these rims, any advice will help.

I have these wheels on my van,fitted by the previous owner,I think he got the wheel nuts from Brickwerks,not positive but seem to remember seeing a receipt from Brickwerks amongst the paperwork I got with it
