Removed my tints - stuck with glue
Hi guys. Have removed the tints off my windows. As they were looking a little tatty.
Unfortunately there is glue residue stuck on the window. What's best for removing it
Thanks

Get a window scraper, the type with sharp blade, then spray the window with water and washing up liquid mix, allow to soak for a couple of minutes, and keep the glass as wet as possible and the blade flat to the window to avoid scratching,

Try Zippo lighter fluid (the cheap chinese ones) It works great on stickers.

We have to re do window tints on locos at work, all ways use a stanley blade and window cleaner spray works really well and well easy

Petrol-soaked rag. All the proprietary solvent-removers are almost entirely hydro-carbons, and are a BIG chunk more than a quid and a third for a litre... Worked a treat at de-pimping the front door windows and tailgate on the Shogun. A hairdryer or heatgun pointed just ahead of the edge, as you peel back the film, helps to minimise the residue, too.

Removing stickiness is about the only thing it's half decent at.

Re: Removed my tints - stuck with glue
Really recommend this amazing stuff from Halfords, just spray on leave & wipe off. Had some really heavy glue on the rear cowling on my motorbike & some residue along the van where someone had put a cr4ppy tribal sticker down both sides. Couldn't get either off with WD40 or even using a machine polisher. Used some of this & it came straight off (doesn't have any affect on paintwork):
