Pop top repairs

Post by Kenton »

Hello,

** new member alert **

We've recently become proud owners of an '84 T25 which is pretty clean but does need some TLC! Does anyone know anyone, preferably in Essex or nearby, who would have a look at our pop top? And/or fix her up so we can use the electric hook up at campsites?

I would add pics of the top but can't work out how too?!

Thanks,
Kenton

Hello and welcome to the forum. :ok

Can't help you with the pop top question I'm afraid, but I can help you posting photos. I wouldn't worry too much, it's a common question.

1st: Upload your photo/photos to a photo hosting website (You can't store the actual photo on this forum). Photo Bucket is one well known one and free !

2nd: When the photo has uploaded, right mouse click on the actual photo, now select "Copy Image URL"

3rd: Log onto Club 80-90 and write your post as normal.

4th: Where you need your photo to appear in the post Click the Grey "Img" button on the tool bar above the section where you write the post, you will now see something similar to this in your post {img}{/img}.

5th: Now paste the image URL from step 2 into the middle of the bracketed {img}, so it'll look kinda like this {img}copied photo URL{/img}

6th: Click Preview below the field where your type you post. You should now see your post complete with the photo.

7th: Click Submit

The fibre glass is intact apart from a bit of mould on the inside but the sides are a bit bashed in and the long hinges on the ends have all pretty much rusted through.

Sounds exactly the same as mine when I first opened it up, it was one of the trickiest parts of the whole van to sort out.
I had to re make the two long sides and re-cover in the aluminium sheet, and replace all the rotten hinges.ImageImage
