isolation material

Post by luketapis »

Hi,
I'm trying to rebuild a floor in my t25 I bougt a mat (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/220839326815? ... 1439.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

and now I want to put some isolation on it. On the top of isolation I will put wooden flor. The problem is that I know the car is leaking and the isolation might get wet. Is there any kind of isolation material which is woterproof. I thought about some kind of plastic or foam??

Any ideas?

Id have thought its best to fix the leak than work around it, water trapped under a floor will soon rust through it

It seems a shame to put new floor on top a problem? As itchyfeet said, can you not fix that first??

No, I can't fix it first because I would need to to replace the whole window. I want to go for a trip in 4 weeks so to be honest I don't have a time.

B&Q roofing mastic in a tube to fit a gun. Think its about £3. Will tie you over as far as the leak is concerned. You can remove it with a scraper and white spirit later.
