Which headlight bulbs to buy?

Bugger! Bought these on e-bay but they're the wrong ones

can anyone tell me where to get the right ones for a Westfalia, California with square headlights - cheers!

h4 is correct what way are they wrong

Hmm, just double checked as I doubted myself but they are definitely the wrong fittings. My old bulbs have a much bigger black plastic fitting and the 3 pins at the back are different sizes. Ah, well. I'll keep looking.

Either your headlights are not standard, or some muppetry has taken place beforehand, the h4 bulbs in the first link are correct for the outer headlights .....if standard......

Were early ones H4 as I have one of each.

American import by any chance? do the outters look like they have a magnifier lens...slighly rounded 'rectangular' rather than square/rectangular?

I don't know but oddly it has old style brake pads even though it is an 86 and the front bearings one side is the old size and one side later, I have had the van 13 years now and it came with full service history and there was no mention of an axel replacement?
