I bought the first one I seen. Infact I made my mind up on the way there!

Probably shouldn't have, but that's how I roll!

In all honesty I think it's had 2 million man hours ( since November ) and its still nowhere near. Unless you like a challenge you should spend more on a better van at the start!

........unless...... What if you don't buy it and then nobody else does. It will end up in the brickyard in the sky. It will be dead and you could of saved it! But you never! Could you live with yourself?

HA! Funbus, that is *exactly* what was going through my mind :) Somebody has to love it!

But someone who has more time and money than I do right now. Maybe in a few years when I have a bit more space in my life for big projects and more experience with such things - my time will come!

In the meantime, I thank you all for sharing your experience and your perspectives on this. It's been a huge help and I'm very grateful to you all. Cheers! :ok

I would buy a rustfree van it will be cheaper in the long run , beware of freshly painted vans hiding all manner of nasties what will soon start to show rust in next to no time

Like everyone else, I'd say give this a miss. Is it near the coast? My first van was like that, cost a fortune,as much as the initial purchase price in welding and even though it was a great character van I had to let it go to someone who could do their own welding. Lost a few thousand in the sale.
