Everything. As far as I know nothing from the CU will fit a CT, so all the tinwear, exchangers, exhaust. You would need a complete engine.

As a CT owner, I can live with it but I like life in the slow lane.

Can I ask why?

Thanks for reply. The reason why is I have a complete 1600ct that I can use. My cu engine is good apart from it has twin webber carbs and drinks fuel like its going out of fashion. I also dont mind life in the slow lane. Just thought if it was an easy swap thought I might try it and see if I get any improvement in the mpg department. If that doesn't work think I'm going to overhaul the original carbs and put them back on.
So as far as your aware it should fit in?

Not that I've tried but I see no reason why it shouldn't physically fit. If the lump is complete then I guess the next issue might be heat exchangers to body - might need a bit of bodging.

Worst you can do is give it a go

:ok

Dont waste your time fitting the ct.. they are carp... get the webbers sorted and everything is set up properly.. improve the way you drive .. or sell the webbers and get some icts and set them up properly..

What mpg are you actually getting??

Oh.. plus the ct prob wont be able to get into 4h gear on the 2L gearbox.. apart from with a big tailwind or down hill..
You WILL be bitterly dissapointed with performance..

That's some food for thought. Not sure what im getting round town "to scared to work it out" on my last run up to Santa pod doing a steady 55 with a light right foot I only achieved 18 mpg.

Well.. 18 isnt bad for twin 40's etc.. best you might see is 22.. doubt very much yoh would get that with the 1.6 as its a slug...
Bust I have seen from my 2wd velle watercooled is 27.. and that was driving it gently at no more that 60 on a long trip..syncro does 17- 23 on lpg.. depending on what I am doing.. but I tend to drive it....

Thanks for all inputs guys. They are not twin 40 carbs just the webber single chokes which seem a popular conversion in most of the brochures. I have a very good contact which has always set my carbs up on all my other cars but can't do the actual jetting of the carbs can any make any recommendations

Or sell the spare and put the money towards an LPG conversion.
2.1 DJ running on carb and LPG.
