If you mean "is there meant to be a pipe from the fridge flue (on the back of the fridge) to the vent on the outside of the van", then definitely YES and it needs to be correctly fitted and gas tight, or you may wake up dead
Take care
Got a new van, but it's a 165bhp T4 [shock horror] Accurate LPG Station map here

Re: RM 212 help
yes.. iirc all the RM gas fridges have the vertical pipe fixed to their backs, which should have an angled T piece at top onto which slides a piece of metal tube which is fitted to the exterior vent, if that makes sense. best bet is to get hold of an exploded diagram/parts list (try Dometic, they took over Electrolux) to see what you need.
DON'T be tempted to take short cut or bodge this due to the potential for CO (Carbon Monoxide) to leak back into the van. It's not called the 'silent killer' for nought
Do fit a CO detector (EVERY van should have one...please!!!!!) They are cheap as chips, follow simple fitting guide as to where to put them in our little vans.
Always worth getting a friendly Gas Safe engineer to check it out when you've done it....
Stay safe...

Re: RM 212 help
How can it be air tight when there is a hole either end of the angle piece which is shown in the picture. ??

Re: RM 212 help
Here are some fitting instructions from the club 80-90 downloads section LINK HERE They are for a slightly different model, but the flue arrangement is the same.

The upper pipe that goes to the vent is the one I was referring to when I said "properly fitted and gas tight" as this is where the dangerous fumes go out.
